Vanitas Chain Bracelet
Handmade bracelet on a chain “Vanitas”. From the “Vanitas Vanitatum” series.
The bracelet depicts elements belonging to the genre of “Vanitas” paintings of the Baroque era of the 16th-17th centuries: a skeleton, a vase with flowers, a book, a feather, soap bubbles and an hourglass. Such paintings were intended as a reminder of the transience of life, the futility of pleasure and the inevitability of death.
Bracelet made of sterling silver with artificial blackening.
Chain: 4 mm wide shell.
Size of the front part of the bracelet: 44×9.5×3 mm.
Each item is made and handcrafted in St. Petersburg.
