The publication in the “Nature” journal about 46% of fishing nets as part of the “Pacific Big Garbage Island” gave rise to these questions in my mind — how great is the influence of a man on the surrounding fragile world; how you and I, often not realizing, change it; about those who have to get along with the human rhythm and its growing appetites; about world that we are not familiar with, but on which we are completely dependent — and I had no choice but to embody these thoughts in contradictory forms.
Combining ancient amber and consumer silver, a translucent fragile creature and a hunting weapon, this brooch was born.
